Punjab State Talent Search Examination (PSTSE) ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਝਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਿਤ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਸਕੀਮ ਅੰਤਰਗਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਦੇ 500-500 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਜੀਫਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਕਲਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਚੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵੱਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਜੀਫੇ ਦੀ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਲਾਭ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਉਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ। ਉਕਤ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਵਜੀਫੇ ਲਈ ਯੋਗ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੂੰ 200 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਦੀ ਦਰ ਨਾਲ 10+2 ਤੱਕ ਵਜੀਫਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਕਤ ਸਕੀਮ ਅਧੀਨ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਖੋਜ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ (ਐਸ.ਸੀ.ਈ.ਆਰ.ਟੀ.) ਪੰਜਾਬ, ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਠਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੜਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਜੀਫੇ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਸਿਰਫ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈਡਕੁਆਰਟਰਜ/ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਤੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਜਨਵਰੀ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਤੀਸਰੇ ਜਾਂ ਚੌਥੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਹੈਡਕੁਆਰਟਰਜ ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਤੇ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਹੋਰ ਪੜ੍ਹੋ….

The PSTSE is an annual scholarship examination conducted by the SCERT Punjab to identify and nurture talented students in the state of Punjab.
Students studying in Class 8th and 10th of a government whose parental income is not more than ₹1,50,000 per annum, and who have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent in Class 7th and 9th (5% relaxation for SC/ST students) are eligible to apply.
Students can apply for PSTSE through their respective schools. Schools need to register their students on the official e-Punjab website and submit the required details and documents.
The PSTSE exam consists of two parts: the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Each part contains 90 multiple-choice questions and total time for exam is 3 hours.
Students need to score at least 40% in each test (MAT and SAT) to qualify. For students from reserved categories (SC/ST), the qualifying score is 32% in each test.
Qualified candidates receive a scholarship of ₹200 per month up to Class 12.
The scholarship is disbursed quarterly into the bank account of the eligible students through Direct Bank Transfer (DBT).
No, the PSTSE exam can only be taken once by a student when they are in Class 8th or 10th.
